On March 11, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall arrived in Amman, Jordan to begin their three-day official visit. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen economic and bilateral relations between Jordan and the United Kingdom.
Upon their arrival at Queen Alia International Airport the royal couple were greeted by His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan’s Special Envoy and Advisor for Religious and Cultural Affairs, His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Mohammed as well as other government officials from Jordan and Britain.
During their visit The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend an “…inter-faith gathering to discuss the Amman Message, participate in a business conference and events that highlights the UK-Jordanian collaboration in creative industries and education…” according to Clarence House.
On March 11, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias visited the Academia de Artillería-Polígono de Baterías in Segovia to observe various military exercises designed to protect Spain in case of a chemical and/or nuclear accidents.
Meanwhile in Madrid, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias attended the Premios Discapnet de la Fundación ONCE award ceremony held at the Centro Deportivo y Cultural de la ONCE.
