Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan to Visit Turkey.

JordanBeginning on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan will begin their two-day visit to Turkey.

According to the Petra News Agency, Their Majesties will attend a meeting with the President of Turkey, Mr. Abdullah Gül, and the Prime Minister of Turkey, Mr. Recep Erdogan.  Discussions will focus on “…bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.”

On Wednesday, Their Majesties will attend a meeting with the Jordanian-Turkish business community “…organized by the Union of Chambers and the Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.  The meeting aims at enhancing economic ties and trade exchange.”

monacoTheir Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and her son, Mr. Pierre Casiraghi, received a new Dassault Falcon 7x jet on March 4, 2013, in Nice, France.

The interior of the new €40 million jet was designed Princess Charlene and contains “…eight passenger seats, two sofa beds in the back, dark wood and cream-colored interior, and an ultra modern kitchen…” according to Dassault CEO, Mr. Eric Trappier.

When asked about his sleek new jet the sovereign prince replied, “For me and my family it is a valuable tool in fulfilling my mission as head of state as well as for official travels for my family.”  In a press release, the Palais Princier also stressed that the sovereign prince wanted the Falcon 7x jet to meet all the “…latest environmental standards…”

Next week, Prince Albert II will begin his visit to the gorgeous island chain of Palau.

Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden Hold an Audience with the Prime Minister of Thailand.

ThaiSwedenOn Monday, March 4, 2013, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden held an audience with the Prime Minister of Thailand, Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, at the royal palace in Stockholm.

The purpose of Prime Minister Shinawatra and her delegation’s visit is to “…strengthen bilateral relations between Thailand and Sweden…”  On Tuesday,Prime Minister Shinawatra and her delegation will visit Brussels, Belgium where she will met with Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium according to the newspaper, Bangkok Post.

HIH Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan Meets With IOC Commission Members.

CPNaurhitoOn Monday, March 4, 2013, His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan, accompanied by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, welcomed the International Olympic Commission and Inspectors to Tokyo.  Japan is bidding for the upcoming 2020 Olympics.

According to ESPN via the Associated Press the Japanese bid organizers “…are hoping to win over the International Olympic Committee after Tokyo failed in its bid for the 2016 Games, which went to Rio de Janeiro.”
