During the meeting and reception the princess received a book from the members of the club entitled, Trots zijn op wie je bent (Being Proud of Who You Are). According to RVD, the book is “…is based on their story about bullying and looking different.”

On October 11, 2012, Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain along with Infanta Elena presided over the annual meeting of the Patronato del Instituto Cervantes at the Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid. His Majesty is honorary president of the Instituto Cervantes.
According to the Spanish royal court the Instituto Cervantes is:
“… Instituto Cervantes is a public institution created by Spain in 1991 for the promotion and teaching of the Spanish language and dissemination of Spanish and Latin American culture. It is headquartered in Madrid and in Alcalá de Henares, birthplace of the writer Miguel de Cervantes. Currently there are several Instituto Cervantes on four continents…”
After the meeting Their Majesties along with Infanta Elena attended a luncheon with those who attended this morning’s meeting.
Upon his arrival the prince was warmly greeted by locals as well the administrators of the Tiphof. According to RVD:
“The Tiphof Village is the only community property in Geesbrug. It houses a thriving club and venue for activities. Young and old come together here to cook, play games or join in on Zumba classes, sing in the choir, and more. The village, which is run by 35 volunteers, also has a youth club, which is run by a separate youth directors.”
On Thursday, October 11, 2012, His Majesty King Albert II of Belgiumvisited Camp Lagland, one of the largest military training camps of the Belgian Army, located in the province of Luxembourg.
The purpose of His Majesty’s visit was to learn more about the “… military training exercises each of the men endure…” as well as to watch “… combat demonstrations.”
