On October 11, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje visited the Tiphof Village House in Geesbrug. The Tiphof is partially funded by the Oranje Fund.
Upon his arrival the prince was warmly greeted by locals as well the administrators of the Tiphof. According to RVD:
“The Tiphof Village is the only community property in Geesbrug. It houses a thriving club and venue for activities. Young and old come together here to cook, play games or join in on Zumba classes, sing in the choir, and more. The village, which is run by 35 volunteers, also has a youth club, which is run by a separate youth directors.”
