Swedish Royals

Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden Visits Riga, Latvia.

silviaOn March 20, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden was in Riga, Latvia for a brief visit.  During her visit Her Majesty had a chance to participate in the “…Mentor Latvia seminar entitled, Investing in Youth: The Future of Latvia, which emphasizes the importance of the mentoring movement in helping young people in out-of-family-care institutions become full-fledged society members.”

According to the LETA news agency, Her Majesty also met with the President of Latvia, Mr. Andris Berzins, in the capital.  Discussions focused on “…Latvian-Swedish bilateral partnership, the work of Riga and UMEA as the European Capitals of Culture in 2014…”

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway Visits a School in Oslo. (VIDEO)

CPMMOn March 21, 2013, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway visited the Ullevålsveien, a school for students with learning disabilities, in Oslo. During her visit the future queen of Norway met with staff, mingled with the students and much more.

On March 21, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall attended the enthronement ceremony of the new Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend and Right Honorable Justin Welby, held at the Canterbury Cathedral in Canterbury.

Princesse Charlene Palais Princier 2013On Thursday, March 21, 2013, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, as Honorary President, attended Ladies Lunch Monte-Carlo held at the Hotel Metropole in Monaco.  During today’s important charity fundraiser  “…22,000 Euros were raised for the Centre de la Jeunesse Princesse Stéphanie, an activity center for the youth living in the Principality.”
