On the morning of March 6, 2013, an “…oxygen tank explosion and fire broke out in the broiler room…” at the La Milagrosa Hospital in Madrid where His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spainis currently recovering from his operation last Sunday. Five people were injured according to several sources. As for His Majesty, well, he’s doing just fine and dandy. The old king was located in another section of the hospital far from the accident.
Any way, this afternoon Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias along with their daughters stopped by the hospital to visit His Majesty. Thankfully, the press was there to take photos of the royal family walking into and out of the hospital. 🙂
According to the Telegraph and Guardian newspapers, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani of Qatar recently purchased six uninhabited islands in Greece for a reported 8.5 million Euros. Now, that is a bargain. No, really.
Anywho, according to the newspaper, The Mirror, the 61-year-old Emir of Qatar was vacationing in Greece when he decided to moor his tiny 400ft yacht off the Echinades Islands. Within minutes the Emir fell in love with the place. So, four years later he decided to purchase them.
Wow.

On March 6, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias “…visited the second phase of line 9 of the Metro in Madrid…” according to the Spanish royal court. During his visit Prince Felipe “…inspected the inside of the tunnel and met with workers as well as representatives from the companies working on the project.”
