Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium Attend the Re-Opening of Théâtre Royal de Liège.

On the evening of September 19, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium were in Liège to attend the re-opening of the Théâtre Royal de Liège.

Anyway, the royal couple along with hundreds of guests, enjoyed a performance of the opera “Stradella” by the late composer, Mr. César Franck.

On September 19, 2012, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal was at Belwade Farm Rescue in Scotland to open a new indoor arena and visitor center as well as to unveil a new plaque.  The Belwade Farm Rescue is a center which rescues neglected and abused horses.

Also on today’s agenda for the princess was a visit to the HMS Queen Elizabeth, which is “…currently under construction at Rosyth Dockyard…” and a visit to the Scottish School of Forestry at Inverness College.

Royal News Regarding His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain and His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias. (VIDEO)

On September 19, 2012, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain held an audience at the Palacio Real de Madrid with members of the Regimiento de Caballería Acorazado “Alcántara” 10, “… on the occasion of the award of the Distinguished Cross Collective of San Fernando Hunters Regiment “Alcántara” 14th Cavalry.” 

Meanwhile at the Bilbao Exhibition Center in Bilbao, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias attended the opening of the 6th Annual BioSpain Forum.

BioSpain is a “… forum for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences among all stakeholders in the biotechnology sector, which has become a major platform for presenting Spanish biotechnology internationally.”

His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje Attends the Opening of the Faculty Campus Hague.

On September 19, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje attended the opening of the new building of the Faculty Campus Hague in Den Haag.

The Faculty Campus Hague was:

“… founded in 1999 as a branch of the University of Leiden and become a university institute in the center of Den Haag. The campus facilities include the Public Administration Studies, International Studies, Political Science and is the location where the Leiden University College Den Haag (Liberal Arts & Sciences: Global Challenges) is established. In addition, the campus provides education and training for professionals, such as the National Traineeship and Diplomats classroom.

The campus is working with organizations in Den Haag through debates and conferences and the deployment of politicians, civil servants, diplomats and entrepreneurs in education.

The new building has a Living Lab, a practice environment in which students, teachers and researchers to collaborate and build a network with international organizations, companies, research institutions and public authorities.”

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends a Patti Smith Concert.

On September 17, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco along with Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover, and her daughter, Charlotte Casriaghi, were at the Salle Garnier in Monte-Carlo to watch legendary singer, Patti Smith, perform.

During the concert Ms. Smith peformed songs from her new album/CD Banga which were “…inspired by her dreams and reflections, and depict a complex world, a world where beauty and chaos reign.”

On September 19, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge finally ended their nine-day tour of Southeast Asia, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.

After a traditional farewell from the people of Tuvalu, the royal couple boarded a flight to awesome Brisbane, Australia then hopped on another flight to head on home to lovely old England.

On the morning of September 19, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Defense Medical Rehabilitation Center (DMRC) in Headley Court, Epsom, Surrey, to meet with injured servicemen and women who were wounded in during their tour of duty in Afghanistan.

The royal couple also met with “… staff and representatives from a number of charities that have supported the DMRC over the years…”

Afterward, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall opened as well as toured the new “… 48-bed Jubilee Rehabilitation Complex, which includes therapy rooms and a gym for rehabilitation of wounded soldiers and a workshop for hi-tech prosthetic limbs.”

Later in the afternoon, the royal couple hosted a reception at Clarence House for the “…London 2012 volunteers and Armed Forces Personnel who helped secure the Olympic and the Paralympic Games…”
