Per a press release via Monte-Carlo SBM:
After a summer filled with artistic and cultural events, the Monte-Carlo SBM Group will be sporting a ‘Touch of Africa‘ for a week in partnership with the Emperors Palace in Johannesburg and as part of a tribute to South Africa, HSH Princess Charlene of Monaco’s home country.
The South African musician-songwriter-composer Johnny Clegg will hold a concert in the splendid Salle Garnier of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. The concert will be followed by a gala dinner on the terrace of Café de Paris.
To prolong your culinary voyage, the chef of Emperors Palace, Dobby Doolooa, will be working together with Jean-Claude Brugel, chef of Café de Paris, and his teams, during the week of 29 September.
They will be dreaming up and creating a menu of South African dishes and suggestions. Epicures and gastronomes will appreciate the culinary journey and the subtle pairing of food and wine.
The Monte-Carlo SBM Group will be donating the profits of these events to the Princess Charlene Foundation.”
