On Wednesday, December 18, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the Vlerick Alumni’s winter reunion held at the ICC Ghent in, well, Ghent. 🙂
According to the official website for Vlerick Alumni the theme of last evening’s event was:
“…Business has a Contract with Society with an emphasis on children’s and women’s rights. What is the role of companies in monitoring and promoting respect for women’s and children’s rights? How far should companies and governments go in their social engagement? How can social responsibility be anchored in the strategy and even become beneficial for the company?”

On Thursday, December 19, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine of Sweden arrived at the Royal Mews in Stockholm to present the Swedish Equestrian Federation’s scholarship to Swedish dressage rider, Ms. Paulinda Friberg.
This evening the princess along with Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, His Royal Highness Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, and Mr. Christopher O’Neill will attend a gala performance at the Oscarsteatern (Oscar Theatre) in Stockholm in celebration of Her Majesty’s 70th birthday.

On December 18, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias attended the VIII Gala Anual del Comité Olímpico Español (COE) held at the headquarters of the Comité Olímpico Español in Madrid.
During this evening’s award ceremony Prince Felipe was presented with the Orden Olímpica de Oro (Golden Olympic Order).

On the afternoon of December 18, 2013, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco welcomed dozens of Monégasque youth to the Palais Princier.
During today’s event, per tradition, the sovereign prince and Princess Charlene presented the youths with Christmas presents.
