Swedish Royals

His Royal Highness Prince Daniel of Sweden Visits Two Schools in Umeå.

danielOn December 2, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Daniel of Sweden accompanied by members of the Prins Daniel Fellowship visited Umeå Universitet and the Dragonskolan in Umeå, northern Sweden.

Whilst the Dragonskolan the prince spoke with students about entrepreneurship according to the Swedish royal court.  In the afternoon, the prince and members of the Prins Daniel Fellowship visited Umeå Universitet where once again Prince Daniel spoke to students about  — you guessed it — entrepreneurship.

And, that’s it.   🙂

Belgian Royals

King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium Enjoy a Christmas Concert.

BelgiumAPOn the evening of Monday, December 2, 2013, King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium arrived at the Hôtel Plaza in Brussels to attend the Fondation Reine Paola Christmas concert.

Guests in attendance listened as Mr. Peter Van Heyghen conducted Les Muffatti (Brussels Baroque Orchestra) perform George Frideric Handel’s cantata, Apollo e Dafne.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia Opens the International Women’s Club Bazaar.

serbiaOn Sunday, December 1, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia officially opened the International Women’s Club Bazaar at the Belgrade Fair in, well, Belgrade.

Royal House of Jordan

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan Meets with Archbishop Dominique Mamberti. (VIDEO)

On December 2, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan held an audience with the Section for Relations with States Roman Curia (Vatican), Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, at Al-Hummar Palace in Amman. 

Discussions focused on “…ways to boost relations between Jordan and the Vatican to help in consolidating the values of tolerance, love and coexistence among all nations…” according to Petra News.

Belgian Royals

The King and Queen of Belgium Visit Luxembourg. (VIDEO)

belgiumOn Monday, December 2, 2013, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived in Luxembourg for a one-day official visit.

Upon their arrival at the Palais Grand-Ducal in Luxembourg City Their Majesties were warmly greeted by Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg as well as by hundreds of locals.

After the inspection of the guards Their Majesties were ushered into the palace where they posed for the press and then attended a gala luncheon held in their honor.

Imperial Family of Japan

TIMs Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan Visit India. Day 3 (VIDEOS)

On December 2, 2013, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan continued their six-day visit to India.

The day began with a visit to Rajghat where they placed a wreath at the memorial of the late Mahatma Gandhi.  Thereafter, emperor and empress arrived at the Rashtrapati Bhavan presidential palace in New Dehli where they were warmly welcomed by the President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, along with the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Manmohan Singh and his wife, Ms. Gulcharan Kaur.

After the official welcoming ceremony and the inspection of the guards the imperial couple were ushered into the presidential palace where they held a meeting and attended a reception. 

In the afternoon, Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko visited Jawaharlal Nehru University.  Whilst there the imperial couple met with Japanese and Indian students enrolled at the university.

In the evening, Their Imperial Majesties attended a gala dinner held in their honor.

Spanish Royals

Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain and TRHs the Prince and Princess of Asturias Preside Over the Premios Nacionales del Deporte.

espanaOn Monday, December 2, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias and Her Royal Highness Infanta Elena of Spain presided over the delivery of the Premios Nacionales del Deporte 2012 held at Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid.
