On December 18, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias attended the VIII Gala Anual del Comité Olímpico Español (COE) held at the headquarters of the Comité Olímpico Español in Madrid.
During this evening’s award ceremony Prince Felipe was presented with the Orden Olímpica de Oro (Golden Olympic Order).

On December 18, 2013, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, and His Royal Highness Prince Carl Philip of Sweden attended a reception at the royal palace in Stockholm held on the occasion and ahead of Her Majesty’s 70th birthday.

On the afternoon of December 18, 2013, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco welcomed dozens of Monégasque youth to the Palais Princier.
During today’s event, per tradition, the sovereign prince and Princess Charlene presented the youths with Christmas presents.

On late Tuesday, December 17, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover became a grandmother for the second time.
The Palais Princier confirmed that Princess Caroline’s eldest daughter, Miss Charlotte Casiraghi, gave birth to a healthy baby boy at the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace in Monaco. Miss Casiraghi and her boyfriend, Mr. Gad Elmaleh, have named their new son, Raphaël.
Congrats to the couple! 🙂

On Wednesday, December 18, 2013, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium presided over the 2013 Prix Belgodyssée held at the Palais Royal de Bruxelles.
According to the Belgian royal court the Prix Belgodyssée is a competition for aspiring journalists and is an initiative of the Fonds Prince Philippe, Radio 2 (VRT), and VivaCité (RTBF).
