On the morning of Friday, November 8, 2013, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Didier Reynders, arrived in Den Haag, Netherlands, for a one-day official visit.
Upon their arrival at Paleis Noordeinde the reigning couple were warmly welcomed by Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.
After a brief photo-op for the press King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands hosted a gala luncheon in honor of the king and queen of the Belgians visit to the Netherlands.
Once lovely luncheon had concluded Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde arrived at the Staten-Generaal der Nederlanden (States-General of the Netherlands) where they held various meetings with Dutch government officials including the President of the Senate, Ms. Ankie Broekers-Knol, and the President of the House of Representatives, Ms. Anouchka van Miltenburg.
