On October 30, 2013, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh presented the “…Lord Taverners Cricket County Championship medals and trophies to the Sussex Women’s County Cricket Team and the Durham County Cricket Team…” at Buckingham Palace according to the British royal court.

On October 31, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh arrived in East Sussex for a one-day visit to the region.
This morning Her Majesty and the duke visited the West Quay Fisheries in Newhaven where they “…were shown more than 40 varieties of fish caught off the Sussex coast by a local fleet…” according to the London Evening Standard. Thereafter, Her Majesty and the duke arrived in Beddingham to open the “…new £5 million 68-bed youth hostel at South Downs National Park.”
Soon, Her Majesty and the duke arrived in Lewes where they visited Harveys Brewery. After a nice lunch they made their way to Brighton where Her Majesty officially opened the “…new historical resource center for East Sussex and Brighton and Hove…” known as The Keep.

On Thursday, October 31, 2013, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan accompanied by His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan, Their Imperial Highnesses Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko of Japan, and Their Imperial Highnesses Prince and Princess Hitachi of Japan, hosted an autumn garden party at the Akasaka Imperial Gardens in Tokyo.
On Saturday, October 26, 2013, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco arrived at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania to witness the “…signing of collaboration agreement between Penn Medicine and Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace…”
On October 30, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias presided over the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of AGQ Labs in Burguillos in the province of Sevilla, Spain. During yesterday’s event the future king of Spain also inaugurated AGQ’s new building in Burguillos.
On the evening of October 30, 2013, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco arrived at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City to attend the 2013 Princess Grace Awards Gala.
