On July 18, 2013, His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia visited the Kaiser Wilhelm I monument just outside of Porta Westfalica, Germany.
The prince accompanied by the German Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Mr. Steffen Kampeter, Dr. Wolfgang Kirsch and some other dude were at the monument to voice their support for the much-needed restoration of the area surrounding Kaiser Wilhelm I monument.
His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco held an audience this afternoon with the President of Slovenia, Mr. Borut Pahor, in Monte-Carlo.
According to the Palais Princier, discussions focused on “…existing bilateral relations between the two countries, the international economic situation and cooperation between the Principality and Slovenia, particularly on humanitarian issues.”
Thousands of well-wishers turned out in Liège, Belgium this morning to get once last look and to say thank you to Their Majesties King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium who ended their three-day farewell tour.
The reigning couple’s first stop was the Opéra Royal de Wallonie where they were warmly greeted by opera staff. After a tour of the newly renovated opera house Their Majesties then made their way to the Town Hall. Along the way, the reigning couple shook hands with people who lined the streets to see their king and queen.
Upon their arrival at the Town Hall Their Majesties stepped out onto the balcony where thousands of people clapped and cheered. Overcome with emotion Her Majesty soon began to cry as the crowd chanted Merci! Merci! Merci!
Soon, King Albert and Queen Paola were ushered back into the Town Hall where local officials hosted a reception in Their Majesties honor.
On the evening of July 18, 2013, Her Imperial Majesty Empress Michiko of Japan arrived at the Bunkamura Orchard Concert Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo, to attend a charity concert. Proceeds from yesterday’s concert were donated to various childrens Cancer charities in Japan.
