On November 15, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands gave a speech, in her capacity as Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development of the Secretary General of the United Nations, during the 8th Edition of the Conference: Growing SMEs, Connect, Exchange, Invest held at the World Forum in Den Haag.
Today’s conference, organized by CSR Netherlands and BiD Network, focused on:
“… linking investors with entrepreneurs from small and medium-sized enterprises in developing countries, providing information about various forms of entrepreneurship development and encouraging networks.”
On November 15, 2012, at the Palacio Real de Madrid Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain presented the XXI Premio Reina SofĂa de PoesĂa Iberoamericana (Reina Sofia Award for Latin American Poetry) to poet, activist and former Catholic priest, Mr. Ernesto Cardenal.
Born in Nicaragua, Mr. Cardenal’s works reflect:
“…his personal radicalism throughout which he denounced suffering and the exploitation of the so called banana republics, a central theme of his national song. Â In May 2005 Mr. Cardenal was nominated to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature … “
On November 15, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje attended the annual conference, ECP, held at the Circustheater in Scheveningen.  According to RVD, the prince “… visited the conference in his capacity as a member of the Advisory Board of ECP (Platform for the Information Society).”
On November 15, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the small town of Feidling, New Zealand as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

On November 15, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium along with Their Royal Highnesses Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz and Their Royal Highnesses Prince Laurent and Princess Claire of Belgium celebrated Fête du Roi 2012.
The day began with a Te Deum held at the CathĂ©drale des Saints-Michel and Gudule in Brussels.  Afterward, the royal family attended a ceremony at the Palais de la Nation “… organized by the Chambre des ReprĂ©sentants, the SĂ©nat and the  Gouvernement FĂ©dĂ©ral…” Â
Later, the royal family watched “… a military ceremony of homage which took place in front of the steps of the Palais Royal with the participation of the DĂ©tachement Garde d’Honneur.”
Recently, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco participated in the 2nd International Workshop: Impact Socio-Économique de l’acidification des Océans sur les Pêches et l’aquaculture Conference, held at the Musée Océanographique in Monaco.
“Over Fifty-five experts from nineteen countries as well as representatives of international organizations gathered for three days to discuss the impact of the acidification of the oceans on fisheries and aquaculture, with the aim to help policy-makers develop means of response and create a dialogue and synergy among marine biologists and economists.”
