His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje Opens the Watermanagementcentrum Netherlands. (VIDEO)

On November 7, 2012, His Royal HIghness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje officially opened the Watermanagementcentrum Netherlands (WMCN) of Rijkswaterstaat in Lelystad.

According to the Dutch newspaper, Reformatorisch Dagblad:

“The center provides a workspace for water managers, meteorologists and administrators to work together in the place where the most current water data are available first.

The center also provides information for water managers on high and low water, ice, storm, drought and other circumstances affecting the safety of Dutch behind the dykes who may be in jeopardy. Also, the center aims to be a platform for all new technologies and developments in the water sector.”
