On September 2, 2013, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark participated in the opening of the Danmarks Naturfredningsforenings and the Friluftsrådets campaign entitled, Naturens Dag (Nature’s Day).
Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark arrived in Rabat, Morocco to begin her three-day tour where she will visit “…a number of initiatives in which the objective is to combat violence against women and improve women’s rights generally in the Middle East and North Africa…” according to the Danish royal court.

On the afternoon of Monday, September 2, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived at Wageningen Universiteit and Researchcentrum (University and Research Center) to open the new academic year as well as to inaugurate the new Orion Education Building.
The new pentagon-shaped sustainable building houses over 2,600 students with 88 lecture, laboratories, and computer rooms. After the opening there was a festival for the students which included food, games, guest speakers, music, and much more.
His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Aqaba this afternoon to inaugurate the Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II Hospital. During today’s opening His Majesty was given a tour of the new hospital as well as unveiled a plaque.

On September 1, 2013, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco accompanied by famed Free-Diver and Ambassador of the Fondation Princesse Charlene de Monaco, Mr. Pierre Frolla, arrived in Capbreton, France to teach hundreds of youths how to swim and the importance of water safety.
According to the Palais Princier:
“…the day-long event [concentrated] on teaching children the dangers around water as well as demonstrating swimming techniques both in a pool and in the ocean. [Today’s] event was organized thanks to the participation of the Capbreton lifeguards, several top-level athletes as well as around 50 volunteers.”
