On the evening of September 5, 2013, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden arrived at the Stockholm Stadhus to attend the 2013 Stockholm Water Prize Award Ceremony.
During last evening’s gala event His Majesty presented the prize to Dr. Peter Morgan for “…his life-long work to protect the health and lives of millions of people through improved water and sanitation technologies…” according to the newspaper, The Herald.
On September 6, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie of Denmark arrived at the Messe C Center in Fredericia to attend the 2013 Care Festival, a trade fair organized by the Danske Handicaporganisationer and MESSE C Fredericia.
On Friday, September 6, 2013, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived in the capital of the province Flemish Brabant, Leuven, to begin their one-day visit.
According to the Belgian royal court the purpose of today’s event is to meet with local citizens, government officials as well as to “…visit various social, cultural [sites], and attend a working luncheon devoted to two thematic priorities for the province…”
Anyway, upon their arrival to the Leuven Town Hall Their Majesties were warmly welcomed by thousands of locals and the Mayor of Leuven, Mr. Louis Tobback, as well as the Governor of Flemish Brabant, Mr. Lodewijk De Witte. After formal greetings King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended at reception and luncheon held in their honor, attended a concert/recital, and much more.
On September 5, 2013, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco participated in the Pro/Am Final during the 2013 Masters de Pétanque on the square in front of the Palais Princier in Monaco.
Yesterday’s competition, organized by Peace and Sport, brought together “…the final sixteen qualifying players together with Monégasque personalities and international celebrities.The two semi-finals and the final of the 2013 Masters de Pétanque takes place on September 6…” according to the official website for the Masters de Pétanque and VisitMonaco.
