Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal Visits the Isle of Wight.

AnneOn August 5, 2013, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal arrived on the Isle of Wight to carry out several engagements.

This morning the princess opened the new Corf Scout headquarters and training building in Newport, visited the John Cheverton Day Center at the Earl Mountbatten Hospice where she unveiled a plaque commemorating her visit, toured the Classic Boat Museum in East Cowes, visited the offices of Cowes Week Ltd at the Regatta House, and attended a reception as well as dinner at the Royal London Yacht Club.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Rothesay Continues His Visit to Scotland.

dukeofrothesayHis Royal Highness The Duke of Rothesay continued his visit to beautiful Scotland yesterday morning where he attended service at Canisbay Church in Caithness with dozens of locals.

This afternoon, The Duke of Rothesay arrived in Thurso where he visited the Reids Bakery. Whilst there the duke was given a tour of the facility, and then tried his hand at making a strawberry tart.

Afterward, the duke toured the Links of Greenland Coronation Meadows near Dunnet Bay.  The area is “…home to rare plants and the most northerly population of bumblebees and blue butterflies…” according to the newspaper, Herald Scotland.
