SpainOn August 2, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias and her two daughters, Infanta Leonor and Infanta Sofia, as well as Her Royal Highness Infanta Elena and her children posed for the press during their vacation on the beautiful island of Mallorca.

Meanwhile, various sources are reporting that Infanta Cristina of Spain will be moving to Geneva, Switzerland for “work” at the end of the summer.  Apparently, the disgraced infanta will “…work on joint projects, run by the Fundacion La Caixa, with United Nations institutions in Geneva…” according to Agence France Presse.

Unfortunately, her sleazy husband, Mr. Iñaki Urdangarín, will not be moving with his wife and kids.  No, his sad little self will remain in Barcelona, Spain.  Why?  Well, Mr. Urdangarín and his former business partner, Mr. Diego Torres, are currently under investigation by the Spanish courts for embezzlement, fraud, misuse of public funds, and forgery from the non-profit organization they once presided over, Instituto Nóos.

And, finally, on July 31, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias, and Infanta Elena of Spain arrived at the City Hall in the town of Andratx, Mallorca to visit the Centro de Cooperación and Control de Emergencias de la Unidad Militar de Emergencia.  Last Friday, a fire burned roughly “…1,800 hectares of forest in the Sierra de la Tramuntana region…” so on Wednesday the royal family came out to meet with firefighters, emergency response personnel as well as locals.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Attend the 65th Gala de la Croix-Rouge Monégasque.

On the evening of August 2, 2013, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover arrived at the Salle des Etoiles, Sporting de Monte-Carlo, to attend the 65th Gala de la Croix-Rouge Monégasque.

This evening guests dined on delicious food and were entertained by Italian singer, Mr. Eros Ramazzotti as well as by music producer and famous DJ, Mr. Bob Sinclar.  The glamorous evening ended with a dramatic and not so environmentally friendly fireworks show.  Yay.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Enjoys an Evening Concert at the Palais Princier. (VIDEO)

On July 31, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 2nd edition of the concert entitled, Summer Dream, in the courtyard at the Palais Princier.  The concert, organized in collaboration with the Club des Résidents Etrangers de Monaco (CREM) and Mr. Michael Desjardins, benefited the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco.

Guests in attendance listened as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo play various works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Georges Bizet and Johann Sebastian Bach. Famed violinist Mr. Nemanja Radulovic and soprano Ms. Juila Migenes also performed during Wednesday night’s concert.

HRH Prince Harry of Wales Opens the Royal Marines Tamar. (VIDEOS)

On August 2, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales arrived at HM Naval Base in Devonport, Plymouth to officially open the new £30million Royal Marines Tamar center (RMT).  The RMT is the headquarters for the Royal Marines’ operational and training units of small boats, landing craft, hovercraft and fast boats according to a press release via Clarence House.

After unveiling a new plaque, reviewing the guard and parade of 1 Assault Squadron Royal Marines, Prince Harry attended a private reception with military personnel and their families.
