On the eve of Fête Nationale 2013 and his abdication His Majesty King Albert II of Belgium addressed the nation this evening.
In his speech, recorded at the Palais de Bruxelles, His Majesty:
“…paid tribute to ‘different groups of leaders of our society’, called for maintaining the cohesion of the country and a Europe which focuses on young people and social justice and asked the people to support the future King Philippe”
On July 18, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco accompanied by well-known photographer and explorer, Mr. Filip Kulisev arrived at the Galerie des Pêcheurs in Monaco-Ville to attend a private viewing of the exhibition, Amazing Planet: Best of 2013.
On the evening of July 18, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan hosted an “…Iftar banquet at the royal court for representatives and volunteers of civil society organizations in recognition of their efforts and work…” according to Petra News.
Meanwhile, His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan hosted their own Iftar banquet for “…senior officials and officers as well as clerics and members of diplomatic missions in the Kingdom.”
On July 19, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II presented“…London 2012’s [Summer Olympics] Deputy Chairman, Sir Keith Mills, with the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire during an Investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle” according to the Associate Press.
On Friday, July 19, 2013, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands along with their three daughters and their dog, Skipper, posed for photographers during their annual summer photo session at Villa Eikenhorst in Wassenaar.
On July 18, 2013, His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia visited the Kaiser Wilhelm I monument just outside of Porta Westfalica, Germany.
The prince accompanied by the German Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Mr. Steffen Kampeter, Dr. Wolfgang Kirsch and some other dude were at the monument to voice their support for the much-needed restoration of the area surrounding Kaiser Wilhelm I monument.
His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco held an audience this afternoon with the President of Slovenia, Mr. Borut Pahor, in Monte-Carlo.
According to the Palais Princier, discussions focused on “…existing bilateral relations between the two countries, the international economic situation and cooperation between the Principality and Slovenia, particularly on humanitarian issues.”
