Swedish Royals

Mr. Christopher O’Neill Respectfully Declines a Royal Title.

PMCO2012Per the Swedish royal court:

Mr. Christopher O’Neill is and remains an American citizen, and he intends to continue his business activities as before following his marriage to H.R.H. Princess Madeleine. In accordance with royal protocol, a member of the Royal Family should be a Swedish citizen, and should not hold a position of responsibility within business.

This means that, in accordance with these principles, Mr Christopher O’Neill cannot hold the title H.R.H. Prince of Sweden or Duke of Gästrikland and Hälsingland. 

In view of these requirements, Mr Christopher O’Neill has respectfully requested to remain a private citizen and not to be granted royal rank.

In other news, the combined monogram of the couple has been finally released today.  The joint MC was designed by heraldic artist, Mr. Vladmir Sagerlund.

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia Hosts a Reception in Athens, Greece. Plus, Other News.

KatherineofSerbiaRecently, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia, as patron, hosted a reception in Athens, Greece, in “…aid of children with special needs.”  The event was organized by Lifeline Hellas Humanitarian Organization.

And, finally, this evening at the White Palace in Belgrade the crown princess accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia hosted a lovely reception for “…lecturers and participants of the Fourth ‘Serbian Diaspora Medical Conference 2013’…”

Belgian Royals

News Regarding Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium.

belgiumOn the evening of May 16, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium arrived at the Wolubilis Cultural Center in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Brussels, to attend the 2013 Vocatio Scholarships award ceremony.

According to the Belgian royal court the Vocatio, “… previously known as the Fondation de la Vocation are celebrating their 50th anniversary.  Fifteen scholarships were handed out this evening to various young people worth [roughly] 10,000 Euros…”

Spanish Royals

Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias in Haro, Spain. (VIDEOS)

On May 16, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias arrived in the town of Haro, located in the province of La Rioja, to visit the exhibition, Haro: Luces de la Modernidad.  The aim of the exhibition is to attract tourism to the town as well as to highlight the historical and cultural significance of the province of La Rioja.

The princess also attended the inauguration of the VIII Seminario Internacional de Lengua y Periodismo: El Lenguaje de la Crisis held at the Monasterio de Yuso in San Millán de la Cogolla, Spain.
