Georg Friedrich Ferdinand Prinz von Preu§en Recently, His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Georg Friedrich von Preußen met with Metropolitan Hilarion Alfeyev, Bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church, in Potsdam.

After a nice lunch Metropolitan Hilarion visited Sanssouci Palace and the tomb of the late King Frederick the Great according to the official website for Prince Georg Friedrich.

WAKingOn May 1, 2013, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands appointed Prince Maurits of Oranje-Nassau as “…his aide [the king’s] in special service.”  The handsome prince and cousin of His Majesty was also promoted to captain-lieutenant of the Koninklijke Marine according to RVD.

And, finally, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix along with Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima accompanied by their three daughters as well as other members of the Dutch royal family and various foreign royals left the Paleis op de Dam this morning after attending a lovely luncheon.

Queen SonjaLast Friday Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway attended the 2013 American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) Spring Gala held at The Pierre in New York City.

According to the official website for the ASF proceeds from the gala “…[benefitted] the American-Scandinavian Foundation’s continuing initiatives to promote educational and cultural exchange between the U.S. and Scandinavia.”
