On April 12, 2013, Their Imperial Highnesses Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan attended a charity ball in Minato-ku, Tokyo to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the International Ladies Benevolent Society. This is the first time in 20 years that the emperor and empress have danced in public according to various sources.  It is also being reported that the emperor and empress practiced the waltz and tango at the palace just days before charity ball.  Aw… they are just too cute.   🙂

And, finally, earlier this week the imperial couple “…watched a Kabuki performance at the new Kabukiza Theater in Tokyo.”
