News Regarding Members of the Danish Royal Family.

HM Queen Margrethe of DenmarkOn April 5, 2013, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark along with the President of Finland, Mr. Sauli Niinistö, and his delegation took a boat tour around lovely Copenhagen Harbor.  During the tour President Niinistö was informed about:

“…some of Copenhagen’s solutions for sustainable development, including water purification and waste. In addition, the Crown Prince and the President also looked at Middelgrunden Wind Farm and Amager Resource Center and new sustainable buildings by the UN low energy building and the district of North Harbor.”

In the evening, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, and Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte attended a dinner at Moltke’s Palace hosted by President Niinistö and his wife, First Lady Jenni Elina Haukio.

On April 5, 2013, His Royal Highness The Duke of Rothesay, accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and Countess of Strathearn, opened the new Tamar Manoukian Outdoor Centre at Dumfries House in East Ayrshire, Scotland.  Afterward, The Earl and Countess of Strathearn visited BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness.

News Regarding Members of the Norwegian Royal Family.

NorwayOn April 5, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway participated in a board meeting for the Foundation for the Queen Sonja Nordic Art Award.  Meanwhile, His Majesty King Harald V of Norway held audiences with representatives of Friends of the Earth Norway and with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Mr. Jean-Claude Mignon.  His Majesty accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway presided over the Council of State held at the royal palace in Oslo.

And, finally, Her Highness Princess Märtha Louise attended the Government’s Reception to celebrate the Norwegian athletes’ achievements in the Special Olympics Winter Games.

TRHs Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias Host a Reception. (VIDEO)

On the evening of April 4, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias hosted a reception at Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid for United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon and his wife, as well as 29 specialized organizations of the United Nations attending the spring Chief Executives Board for Coordination meeting in Madrid.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia Hosts an Event for Young Entrepreneurs.

AlexanderofSerbiaOn April 5, 2013, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia welcomed young entrepreneurs to the White Palace in Belgrade where they “…presented their ideas and companies to Europe’s largest and most successful fund accelerator, Seedcamp.  Seedcamp’s first visit to Serbia was organized by SEE ICT in partnership with the Crown Prince Alexander Foundation for Education” according to the official website for the Serbian royal family.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh Visit Slough. (VIDEO)

On April 5, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh arrived in Slough for a brief visit.  This morning Her Majesty and The Duke toured the Mars Chocolate UK factory and officially opened the Britwell Community Center.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Opens the Philips Museum. (VIDEOS)

On April 5, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was in Eindhoven to officially open the Philips Museum.  According to RVD the museum is:

“…located in the first Philips light bulb factory in the center of Eindhoven where the first bulb produced in 1891. The exhibition in the thoroughly renovated factory tells visitors about  the story of the company from the start to future innovative developments. 

After the opening and a tour of the museum, the Queen paid a visit to Philips Research on the High Tech Campus Eindhoven.”
