On the evening of April 10, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands attended the 125th anniversary of the Concertgebouw and the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) in Amsterdam.
“Under the leadership of chief conductor, Mr. Mariss Jansons, the orchestra played works by Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss and newly composed music by Bob Zimmerman. Three soloists celebrated performed this evening: American baritone, Mr. Thomas Hampson, Chinese master pianist, Mr. Lang Lang, and American violinist, Ms. Janine Jansen. The orchestra consists of several musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic and the Bavarian Radio Symphony.”
