T.M.s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan Visit Japan: Day Three (VIDEO)

On November 17, 2011, T.M.s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan continued their official visit to Japan this afternoon.  The royal couple began their day with a visit to Tokyo’s Kodokan Judo gymnasium where they watched the students show off their, well, Judo moves.

Soon it was off to Keio University where King Jigme received an honorary doctorate of Economics from the university’s president, Atsushi Seike.

The royal couple’s final stop was to the DIET where King Jigme gave a speech in the Lower House.  In his speech, the king referred to the March 2011 disaster stating:

…the Japanese people have handled the worst-ever crisis with serene dignity, confidence, discipline and strong minds. He said that if there is one nation that can rise stronger and greater from such adversity, it is Japan.
