(VIDEO) TMs King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Meet with Members of the Ukrainian Community.

On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands met with members of the Ukrainian community residing in the Netherlands at the Paleis Noordeinde in Den Haag.

After the meeting Their Majesties said:

“People from the Ukrainian community in the Netherlands told us their story today. They spoke of their fear, anger and fathomless grief. About the love for their loved ones. And about their belief that freedom will triumph. The conversations touched us deeply. Ukraine deserves all of us support.

Also attending this morning’s meeting were the Ambassador of Ukraine, His Excellency Mr. Maksym Kononenko and his wife Tetiana Doroshenko.

Members of the Norwegian Royal Family Attend the 2022 Holmenkollen Ski Festival 

On Sunday, March 6, 2022, Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway attended the 2022 Holmenkollen Ski Festival outside of Oslo, Norway.

This year the world famous ski festival is celebrating its 130th anniversary.

On Saturday, March 5, 2022, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium met with Dr. Denis Mukengere Mukwege at Château de Laeken.

In 2018, Dr. Mukwege received the Nobel Peace Prize for “…his advocacy against sexual violence as a weapon of war and for his outstanding services to survivors of rape.”

HRH Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg Visits the Victor Buck Services in Foetz.

On Thursday, March 3, 2022, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Mr. Franz Fayot, visited the Victor Buck Services (VBS) in Foetz, Luxembourg. The VBS specializes in the collection, management and secure distribution of information and data essential to businesses.

According to the VBS press release, during yesterday’s the visit to the VBS production site, company representatives:

“…presented the evolution and perspectives of its activities [to Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Mr. Fayot], especially the different manufacturing steps of its new activity: The Industrial Printing of Electronic Antennas. This new factory, exclusively based in Luxembourg, stands out by its innovative and eco-friendly manufacturing process for printed electronics.

Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan Visits the Award Winning Design Company, Twelve Degrees, in Amman.

On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan visited the Twelve Degrees Design and Innovation Studio in Amman, Jordan,

Upon her arrival Queen Rania was welcomed at Twelve Degrees Design by its founder and design director, Ms. Sahar Madanat, before joining a group of the studio’s multidisciplinary engineers and designers, who briefed her on their ongoing projects and future plans.

A multi-faceted Jordanian design and innovation studio, Twelve Degrees specializes in product design, user research, and user experience. Its team works independently and alongside clients to create products that meet a specific need, such as tableware designed for people with physical disabilities, a wearable smart flashlight, and sustainable furniture made from local agricultural waste.

During the meeting, the Twelve Degrees Design team explained their scientific approach to the different stages of product innovation, from market research and concept generation to design development, testing, and prototyping. The studio also offers training workshops, user research, and design communication services.

Her Majesty Queen Rania also toured the Twelve Degrees Design workshop and viewed a number of the studio’s internationally recognized products. She also spoke with a group of Twelve Degrees’ clients and trainees about projects currently being incubated and developed by the studio. 

Founded in 2013, Twelve Degrees has won over 30 international awards to date, including the German Red Dot Award, the Australian Good Design Award, and the U.S.-based International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) and Spark Design Awards.
