On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall continued their visit to Northern Ireland.
This afternoon, The Prince of Wales visited the Marie Curie Hospice and the Belfast Opera House. Meanwhile, The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Arches Library and the Titanic Museum.
The royal couple also visited the C.S. Lewis Square named after the Belfast born and author of Till We Have Faces as well as the Narnia Chronicles to name a few.
On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium accompanied by their eldest daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, Duchess of Brabant, participated in a meeting with four academicians regarding the current situation in Ukraine.
According to the Belgian royal court, the “…triggers of the conflict and its repercussions were at the heart of…” today’s meeting.
On the evening of Wednesday, March 23, 2022, the Mary Fonden celebrated Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark’s 50th birthday at Moltkes Palace in Copenhagen. The Crown Princess turned 50 years old on February 5, 2022. But, hey, why not throw another party, right?
Guest in attendance included “…cooperating partners and organizations…” as well as friends. According to a press release, this evening’s celebrations focused on how “…the Mary Fonden and its participants can, in looking ahead, jointly contribute to creating a society in which all people feel that they belong.”
On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, Her Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg along with her son, His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Luxembourg, visited a crèche (day care/nursery) in Findel where she met with Ukrainian mothers and their children.
During her visit, Her Royal Highness took the time to warmly welcome the refugees to beautiful Luxembourg, while her son, Prince Charles, had a wonderful time playing with the other children in the garden.
On the morning of Wednesday, March 23, 2022, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended a seminar at the Riksdagen on the occasion of Nordic Day in Stockholm, Sweden.
On March 23, 1962, the Helsinki Treaty was signed which a cooperation agreement between Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland set the:
“…framework for Nordic cooperation in the Nordic Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers. The cooperation agreement states that the Nordic countries will promote the close community that exists between the Nordic peoples in culture as well as in law and society, to implement uniform laws in the Nordic countries in as many ways as possible, and to renew and develop Nordic cooperation in the light of the Nordic countries’ increased participation in European cooperation…”
According to the Swedish royal court, during today’s seminar historian, Mr. Gunnar Wetterberg, gave a speech on the Nordic region. There were also panel discussions with an emphasis on Nordic cooperation and the prevention of border barriers.

On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain visited the Crisis Cell On Ukraine at the headquarters of the Cruz Roja Española in Madrid.
The Crisis Cell on Ukraine was developed by the Cruz Roja Española to assist newly arrived Ukrainian refugees in areas such as information and socio-labor guidance, accommodation and coverage of basic needs, accompaniment, translation, and interpretation for legal and psychological assistance.
During their visit, Their Majesties were informed about the daily operations at the Cruz Roja Española, how the International Red Cross in Ukraine is assisting those who are still in their homeland by providing them with food, clothing, shelter, and blankets, and more.
