(VIDEO) HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark is in Greenland to Film a New Documentary

On Friday, March 18, 2022, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark arrived in Greenland to film an upcoming documentary produced by the Danish television network, DR1. The two-part documentary will focus on the royal family of Denmark’s “…efforts to strengthen ties with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. The recordings in the Faroe Islands were made before the pandemic, and the recordings in Greenland have been postponed until 2022 [which they are currently filming].”

In an Instagram post the future king of Denmark noted:

“It has been a few years since I last visited Greenland. But now I have just landed in the beautiful country, where the minus degrees at the moment are double-digit and the wind is biting!

In the next few days, I will be participating in recordings for a documentary program about the Commonwealth for DR. The recordings have been postponed for a while due to the corona, but now I look forward to meeting the Greenlandic people again and reliving the magnificent nature.

The program will be broadcast later this year, and I hope you will welcome it, as was the case with the program on the Faroe Islands, which was broadcast last year.

– The Crown Prince”

The documentary is set to air on DR1 on May 24, 2022.
