On Wednesday, December 4, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Brussels, Belgium for a visit.
Today, His Majesty attended a luncheon meeting at the Palais de Bruxelles with His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium. During the luncheon the two kings discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, the Syrian crisis and ways to strengthen bilateral ties between Jordan and Belgium.
His Majesty King Abdullah II also visited the headquarters of the European Council. Whilst there His Majesty held a meeting with the President of the European Council, Mr. Herman van Rompuy, and with the President of the European Commission, Mr. José Barroso.
On December 4, 2013, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a reception at Clarence House to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the National Literacy Trust.
According to the Associated Press during the reception the lovely duchess announced the winners of a National Literacy Trust campaign, Literacy Heroes.

On Wednesday, December 4, 2013, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan continued their six-day visit to India. This afternoon the imperial couple visited the Kalakshetra Art Academy in Chennai.

On December 4, 2013, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands arrived at the Biotech Campus in Delft to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Applikon Biotechnology company.
According to RVD, the company “…specializes in developing and assembling innovative bioreactor systems. These systems are used for research and development and production of vaccines and drugs.”
On the morning of December 4, 2013, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco officially opened the new Starbucks Monaco located on 1 Promenade Honoré 2 in the Condamine quarter. After the opening the lovely princess was offered a nice warm slice of Carrot cake and a cup of coffee.
Yesterday evening, Princess Charlene accompanied by her brother, Mr. Gareth Wittstock, attended the Soweto Gospel Choir concert held at the Grimaldi Forum.
