His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Receives Three Special Biographies. (VIDEOS)

TheKingWAOn November 29, 2013, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands received three special biographies, published in celebration of the bicentenary year of the Koninkrijk der Nederlanden (Kingdom of the Netherlands), at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam.

The three biographies concerns his ancestors: Willem I, Willem II, and William III.  The books were written by three Dutch historians: Mr. Jeroen Koch (Koning Willem I: 1772-1843), Mr. Jeroen van Zanten (Koning Willem II: 1792-1849), and Mr. Dik van der Meulen (Koning Willem III: 1817-1890).

According to RVD, the authors received special permission from the former Her Majesty Queen Beatrix to have unlimited access to the Koninklijk Huisarchief (Royal Archives) to help them in their research of the three kings.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge Visits a Charity in Birmingham. (VIDEO)

On Friday, November 29, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge visited the St. Basil’s, a homeless charity and shelter, in Birmingham to “…endorse the End Youth Homelessness alliance.”  

According to Kensington Palace the St. Basil’s charity is an “…affiliate of  the homeless charity Centrepoint.  [St. Basil’s] offers a safe, supported environment, accommodation and access to training and education…”

Thereafter, the duke visited the new £189 million Library of Birmingham one of the largest public libraries in the United Kingdom.  Whilst there the duke met with staff, volunteers and youth who came out to see their future king.

The Duke of Cambridge concluded his visit to Birmingham with tour of the South and City College Birmingham.

Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway Presents an Award. (VIDEOS)

HM Queen Sonja of NorwayOn Thursday, November 28, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway presented the 2013 Dronning Sonjas Skolepris (Queen Sonja’s School Award) to the Porsgrunn Videregående Skole (Porsgrunn High School).

After the award ceremony Her Majesty had a chance to tour the school as well as meet with students and staff.

News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain. (VIDEOS)

On Wednesday, November 28, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain presided over the 21st Edición Española of the 12th Edición Iberoamericana de los Premios Reina Sofía Contra las Drogas de la Fundación CREFAT held at Palacio de La Zarzuela in Madrid.

This morning Her Majesty visited the Zoo Aquarium de Madrid in Casa de Campo in Madrid.  During the visit Her Majesty had a chance to meet with staff and cuddle cute baby Pandas.

In the afternoon, Her Majesty attended the XXIV Edition of the Premio Tomás Francisco Prieto de Medallística held at the Museo Casa de la Moneda in Madrid.  During today’s award ceremony Her Majesty presented artist, Ms. Cristina Iglesias, with 2013 Premio Tomás Francisco Prieto de Medallística.  After the ceremony, Her Majesty opened the new exhibition, Inicios, by Mr. Juan Navarro. 

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan Meets with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. (VIDEO)

On November 28, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan held an audience at Al-Hummar Palace in Amman with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Mr. António Manuel de Oliveira Guterres.

According to Petra News, during the meeting His Majesty and Mr. Guterres “…discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Jordan the Commission in respect of services provided by the Kingdom for Syrian refugees…”

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge Attends a Charity Gala. (VIDEO)

On November 28, 2013, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, as Patron of SportsAid, attended the 2013 Sports Ball charity gala in London.

During this evening’s event the lovely duchess presented the One-to-Watch Award which “…honors a young British sportsman or woman who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to their sport and career…” according to the Associated Press.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal Attends Foundation Day.

Princess Anne, Princess RoyalOn November 26, 2013, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal attended University of the Highlands and Islands Foundation Day held at the Nevis Centre in Fort William, Scotland.

During Tuesday’s event the Princess Royal, who is Chancellor of the university, presented the University of the Highlands and Islands Alumnus of the Year award to Miss Julie Fowlis.

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Visits a School in Nieuwegein.

WAOn the morning of November 28, 2013, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands visited the adult education evening school, Prago, in Nieuwegein.  Supported by the Oranje Fonds, Prago is a school that provides basic education — reading, writing, and math — for adults who have learning or language disabilities according to RVD.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh Hold a Special Audience. (VIDEO)

QEIIOn Wednesday, November 27, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh held an audience with the grandchildren of well-known Aboriginal artist, the late Mr. Albert Namatjira.

During their meeting, held at Buckingham Palace, Her Majesty and the duke were presented with two new paintings by the late Mr. Namatjira’s grandchildren, Lenie and Kevin.

Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias Presides Over the XVI Congreso Estatal del Voluntariado. (VIDEO)

On Wednesday, November 27, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias arrived at the Palacio de Congresos y Auditorio de Navarra, Baluarte in Pamplona, Spain, to presides over the inauguration of the XVI Congreso Estatal del Voluntariado.

During this morning’s inauguration the future queen of Spain presented the 2013 Premios Estatales al Voluntariado Social to several individuals and associations.
