dutchOn Saturday, November 16, 2013, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived on the island of Bonaire for a one-day tour.

The day began with a reception at the Flamingo International Airport with various dignitaries and officials.  Soon, the reigning couple were driven to Wilhelmina Square in Kralendijk where they mingled with the locals, watched various sports demonstrations, and witnessed the launch of the Bebe Awa campaign.

Thereafter, Their Majesties visited the Stichting Verslavingszorg en Psychiatrie (Foundation and Addiction Psychiatry), had lunch with the governor of Bonaire as well as with other government officials, visited a day care center for the elderly, viewed a photo exhibition entitled, Dare to Share, and attended a reception held in their honor which was hosted by the governor of Bonaire.

And, that’s it.   🙂
