On Wednesday, May 29, 2013, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan held an audience with the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Manmohan Singh, and his wife, Ms. Gursharan Kaur, at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
Afterward, the emperor and empress hosted a luncheon in honor of Prime Minister Singh’s three-day visit to Japan.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 28, 2013, Her Royal Highness Infanta Elena of Spain attended the II Edition of the Premios de Acción Humanitaria Doña María de las Mercedes held at the Iglesia Colegial del Divino Salvador in Sevilla, Spain.
After opening the session Infanta Elena proceeded to present awards to the Fundación Privada de la Obra Mercedaria, Fundación Juan Felipe Gómez Escobar and Manos Unidas. And, that’s it. 🙂
In other news, after the Spanish royal court announced to the press that His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain decided to dump his beloved $27 million yacht the business owners who gave it to him — as a lovely gift — were not exactly happy campers upon hearing the news. Basically, these business owners said, “Give us our damn boat back you ungrateful old king!” Well, they didn’t use those exact words, but they sure are irritated. On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan held an audience with “…Muslim members of the British Parliament currently visiting Jordan…” according to Petra News.
Discussions focused on the latest developments in the Middle East, the Syrian crisis, bilateral ties between the United Kingdom and Jordan and much more.
On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales arrived in Yerevan, Armenia for a three-day private visit.
Yesterday, the heir to the British throne visited the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts where he was “… briefed on the work of the ‘Yerevan My Love’ charitable foundation…” according to Clarence House.
Later this afternoon, The Prince of Wales will meet with the President of Armenia, Mr. Serzh Sargsyan, at the Presidential Palace in Yerevan. In the evening, the prince will arrive at the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet to watch a concert as well as attend a reception.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway participated in the 2013 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development Forum held at the OECD Conference Center in Paris, France.
During today’s opening session the heir to the Norwegian throne gave a keynote speech along with the Secretary-General of the OECD, Mr. Angel Gurría. In the afternoon, Crown Prince Haakon along with ten other speakers participated in a roundtable discussion held under the theme, Food for Thought: The Power of One.
On May 28, 2013, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia opened the new Princess Katherine kindergarten in Novo Selo. During the official opening the crown princess met with staff as well as students.

On the morning of May 28, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain visited the Fundación Bobath in Madrid. The foundation was founded in 1982 by Karel and Berta Bobath to help those with paralysis as well as brain damage. The foundation uses an “…integrated treatment system that addresses physical, social, and emotional problems caused by paralysis as well as brain damage.”
During her visit Her Majesty met with representatives from the Fundación Bobath and was given a tour of the facilities including the Parque Infantil (infants park) which is supported by the Fundación Reina Sofia.
