HRH Princess Maxima of the Netherlands Launches Girls Day in Den Haag.

MaximaHer Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was at the TNO in Den Haag this morning to officially launch, Girls Day: Voor Bètawetenschap en Techniek, an event organized by Landelijk Expertisebureau Meisjes/Vrouwen and Bèta/Techniek (VHTO).

According to RVD, “…various technology companies as well as research and educational institutions throughout the Netherlands encourages young women, ages 10-15, to become acquainted with beta science, technology, and ICT.”

His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales Visits Nottingham. (VIDEOS)

His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales arrived in Nottingham this morning for a one-day visit.  According to Princeofwales.gov.uk, today the prince visited the Russell Youth Club, opened the new headquarters of the brain injury association, Headway, and toured the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies.

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan Continues His Visit to Washington D.C.

090424_abdullah_ap_297On April 24, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan continued his visit to Washington D.C.  In the morning, His Majesty accompanied by the Jordanian Royal Court Chief, Mr. Fayez Tarawneh, the Jordanian Foreign Minister, Mr. Nasser Judeh, and the Jordanian Ambassador to the United States of America, Ms. Alia Buran, met with the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Mr. John Boehner.

Discussions focused on bilateral relations between the United States of America and Jordan, the latest developments in Syria, and ways to revive the peace process between the Palestinians and the Israelis according to the Petra News Agency.

Afterward, His Majesty and his delegation met with the Chairwoman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on State-Foreign Operations, Ms. Kay Granger.  Again, discussions focused on bilateral as well as economic relations between the United States and Jordan and “…[the] security situation in the Middle East and [the United States’] strategic alliance with Jordan…”  

The Swedish Royal Court Releases New Details About the Upcoming Wedding Between HRH Princess Madeline of Sweden and Mr. Christopher O’Neill.

“The wedding between Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine and Mr. Christopher O’Neill takes place on Saturday, June 8 at. 16:00 in the Slottskyrkan (royal chapel) at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. 

June 7 

Wedding celebration starts on Friday, June 7 with a private dinner for invited guests.

Location: Grand Hôtel, Stockholm Host: The Royal Couple On June 8 

The ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 8 at. 16:00 in the Slottskyrkan. After the wedding ceremony will salute of 21 shots with five seconds between each shot from Skeppsholmen.

The bridal couple will travel in a procession by horse and carriage from the Royal Palace to Riddarholmen. Motorcade runs along the Yttre Borggården, Slottsbacken, Skeppsbron, Strömbron, Strömgatan, Norrbro, Slottskajen, Myntgatan and Wrangelska Backen to Evert Taubes terrace Riddarholmen.

From Evert Taubes terrace Riddarholmen sailing for the couple, and the invited guests by boat to Drottningholm Palace for dinner.

Armed Forces parade along the procession route and on arrival at Drottningholm.”

The Swedish network, SVT, will broadcast the royal wedding live on June 8, 2013.

 

News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan.

Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium Visits Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

astridOn April 24, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, in her capacity as Special Representative of the Partnership ‘Roll Back Malaria’, arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to begin her three-day visit on the occasion of World Malaria Day.

The princess and her delegation were invited to visit the mainland southeast Asian country by the Minister of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO).  Tomorrow, Princess Astrid and her delegation will “…participate in various festivities on the occasion of World Malaria Day and launch the WHO’s Emergency Response to Artemisinin Resistance in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region (ERAR)…” according to the Belgian royal court.

Prior to her departure to Cambodia, Princess Astrid met with Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan at the Imperial Palace as well as with His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan at Togu Palace in Tokyo.
