His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan held an audience this morning with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, and the UAE Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the Al-Hummar Palace in Amman.
Discussions focused on the never ending Syrian crisis and “…efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East according to the two-state solution.”
His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias presided over the opening of the 7th European Jurist Forum held at the Centro de Convenciones Internacionales de Barcelona on April 18.
The forum is intended for practicing attorneys, legal academics, and jurists form various European Union countries. The purpose of the forum is to seek laws that protect individual rights that are, at the same time, compatible with laws designed to protect society as a whole. During the three-day forum participants will discuss current laws within the European Union countries and contribute to their compatibility with each country.
His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco held an audience at the Palais Princier yesterday afternoon with the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr. Nils Muiznieks.
His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje was in Nijmegen this morning where he officially opened the European Heinz Innovation and Research Center. According to RVD, the center has “…a kitchen for product development, a sensory center, facilities for consumer tests and a modern microbiology laboratory. The center also serves as a hub for nutritional science and new product development.”
His Majesty King Albert II of Belgium arrived at the Civil Protection Services base in Ghiln this morning where he was warmly greeted by the Prime Minister of Belgium, Mr. Elio Di Rupo, Colonel Nicolas Tuts, Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Broeckx, the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior, Ms. JoëlleMilquet, and the Governor of the Province of Hainaut, Mr. Tommy Leclercq.
During his visit the king witnessed various training exercises and emergency simulations performed bysix divisions within the Civil Protection Services including the BFAST Dog Team and the Urban Search and Rescue Team.
Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, as President of the Riding for the Disabled Association, visited the Hollesley Group at Pettistree Hall Farm in Sutton. The purpose of the princess’s visit was to celebrate the Hollesley Group’s 25th anniversary according to Royal.gov.uk
