On Friday, November 9, 2012, His Royal HIghness The Duke of Edinburgh and His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex attended the First Battalion’s Medals Parade and Thanksgiving Service in Aldershot.  During today’s event the duke “…presented medals to soldiers from the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards…”

And, finally, last evening Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended “… a reception and dinner in aid of the University of St. Andrews 600th Anniversary Appeal…”

 

 

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands Visits North Brabant. (VIDEOS)

On Friday, November 9, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands visited the province of North Brabant.  According to RVD, Her Majesty visited various “… local sustainable development[s] and social and technical innovation in central North Brabant…”

On the agenda for today included a visit a carpet factory in Waalwijk, a tour of a technical training school in Tilburg as well as a visit to Tilburg University where Her Majesty unveiled a sculpture, a tour of the towns of Reusel-de Mierden and Hilvarenbeek, and finally a visit to the Van den Borne Aardappelen business in Reusel.

Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain Attends the 4th Global Social Business Summit. (VIDEO)

On Thursday, November 8, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain participated in the 4th Global Social Business Summit held at the Austria Center in Vienna.  During today’s event Her Majesty gave a keynote speech alongside  2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Mr. Mohammad Yunus.

H.R.H. Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Mr. Christopher O’Neill Attend an Award Ceremony.

On the evening of November 7, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine of Sweden and her fiance, Mr. Christopher O’Neill, attended the Raoul Wallenberg Civic Courage Awards held at the Yale Club in New York City.

The award was presented to:

“… the Hon. Raymond W. Kelly, Police Commissioner of the City of New York. The award will also be presented on the celebratory occasion of the 100th birthday of Raoul Wallenberg, the heroic Swedish diplomat who led an extensive and successful mission to save the lives of nearly 100,000 Jews in Nazi-occupied Hungary.”
