His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain to Have Another Operation.(VIDEO)

Poor His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain.  The old king just cannot seem to get a break this year. Any way, during last evening’s dinner for the opening of the 22nd Ibero-American Summit in Cádiz, Spain, His Majesty announced that he will have operation on his left hip on Friday, November 23, 2012.

Speaking to the guests attending the dinner His Majesty noted:

“As you can see, I have some problems of movement that have reappeared over the last few days that will oblige me to follow doctors’ recommendations and interrupt my official agenda in order to…be operated on.

Doctors recommended that I head straight for the surgery room, I wanted to postpone it at least until next week so I can be here with all of you, my Ibero-American brothers and sisters, in order to strengthen together this extraordinary assemblage of affinities and affections that is our Ibero-America …”

Poor guy.

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco Visit the Croix-Rouge Monégasque Headquarters.

On Saturday, November 17, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco visited the Croix-Rouge Monégasque (Monaco Red Cross) headquarters in Monaco.  The princely couple along with Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie distributed “… bags of food supplies to Monégasque residents…”.  The sovereign prince is Honorary President of the Croix-Rouge Monégasque.

And, finally, earlier in the day, Prince Albert II was at “… French chef  Alain Ducasse’s restaurant, Le Louis XV, in Monaco to celebrate the restaruant’s 25th anniversary…”

On the evening of November 15, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the Monaco Against Autism (MONAA) Inaugural Gala held inside the Salle des Étoiles at the Sporting Club de Monte-Carlo.  Princess Charlene is MONAA’s Honorary President.

 

Guests in attendance included The Duke and Duchess of Castro, Infanta Pilar, the Duchess of Badajoz as well as dozens of local dignitaries and VIPs.  After the gala dinner there was a charity auction and a concert by Umberto Tozzi.
