On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg accompanied by the Minister of Labour, Mr. Georges Engel, and the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development, Mrs. Joëlle Welfring, visited a community garden in Belvaux.
During today’s visit, Grand Duke Henri met with the locals who take care of the garden and other projects.

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, as Honorary Chairwomen of the SchuldenlabNL Foundation, met with deputies from the twelve provinces to discuss “…what they can do for a debt-free Netherlands.”
According to RVD, the twelve provinces within the Netherlands do not have a:
“…direct task in debt counseling, which lies mainly with municipalities. However, they do contribute to promoting quality of life in the province and the social agenda. Queen Maxima and the chairman of SchuldenlabNL, Mr. Gerrit Zalm, spoke with the deputies about how they can motivate the municipalities in their province to adopt the debt relief methods of SchuldenlabNL.
The foundation has assessed eight methods as proven and successful ways to help people with problematic debts. During the meeting, it was examined which methods are used in the various municipalities and what the province can do to scale up this.
Stichting SchuldenlabNL was established in 2018 as a partnership between public and private parties. Its aim is to make the Netherlands debt-free.”

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium held a video conference call with the First Lady of Ukraine, Mrs. Olena Zelenska.
During the call, discussions focused on the war in Ukraine whereupon Her Majesty Queen Mathilde “…expressed her solidarity with the Ukrainian people and her concerns about the health and mental well-being of the population…” according to the Belgian royal court.
Last evening, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the Finals of the Concours Reine Elisabeth (Queen Elisabeth Competition) held at the Bozar in Brussels.
Each of the 12 finalists performed a compulsory work and a concerto with the Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Stéphane Denève.
On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain visited the city of Ponferrada in the province of León.
According to the Spanish royal court, His Majesty presided over the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Ponferrada campus of the University of León.
Thereafter, His Majesty visited the Ponferrada Town Hall whereupon he was warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Ponferrada, Mr. Olegario Ramón Fernández, and hundreds of local citizens.
Whilst in the Town Hall, His Majesty signed the Book of Honor and held a brief meeting with the mayor as well as other government officials.
On Monday, May 30, 2022, the BBC interviewed His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan about Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her upcoming Platinum Jubilee.
In the interview, His Majesty King Abdullah II reflected on the strong ties of friendship between the two royal families, stressing pride in the distinguished relations between Jordan and the United Kingdom.
His Majesty commended the consistency and perseverance which have characterized Queen Elizabeth II’s reign in service of her nation.
Also during the interview, the King wished Queen Elizabeth II good health, and the people of the United Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden visited the city of Helsingborg on the occasion of the international city fair, H22.
H22 is a 35-day international city fair held in Helsingborg. The purpose of the H22 Fair is to “…develop future solutions that will give the inhabitants of Helsingborg a higher quality of life and a smarter and more sustainable city…” notes the Swedish royal court. Crown Princess Victoria is Patron of the H22 Fair.
The day began with Her Majesty and Crown Princess Victoria attending the conference entitled, The Dementia Friendly City. The conference gathered various representatives from the Helsingborg municipality, politicians, and experts to discuss “…how the city and its citizens could help accommodate an aging population.”
Thereafter, Her Majesty Queen Silvia inaugurated the new senior housing complex, Silviabo Skrabelycke. Her Majesty also inaugurated The Garden of Memories and Knowledge, in Husensjö Park. The garden was designed especially for individuals with cognitive illnesses.
Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria visited the environmental technology facility, Recolab.
In the afternoon, Her Majesty and the Crown Princess attended the inauguration of the H22 City Fair. In her role as Patron of the fair, Crown Princess Victoria gave the inaugural speech.
