On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the Primary School of Bouge in the province of Namur, Belgium.
According to the Belgian royal court, today’s visit was in partnership with the Université de Paix, the Primary School of Bouge “…has adopted the KiVa method, which trains teachers and primary school students in conflict management and bullying prevention.”
During today’s visit Her Majesty participated in a roundtable discussion with various teachers and administrators regarding the “…application of the KiVa Method…” Thereafter, Her Majesty met with 4th grade students from the school whereupon she spoke with them regarding the harmful affects of school bullying as well as harassment; moreover, the importance of how to prevent their fellow students from bullying their classmates.
