On Monday, February 28, 2022, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain attended the inauguration of the 2022 GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The GSMA is a global organization that unifies the mobile ecosystem to discover, develop and deliver innovation foundational to positive business environments and societal change. According to Casa Real over “…1,500 exhibitors and participants from 150 countries…” will attend the four day event. Panel discussions will be held on themes such as financial technology, 5G , artificial intelligence, cloud technology, the Internet of Things, climate issues, cybersecurity and more.
On Sunday, February 27, 2022, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark attended the premiere of Against the Ice.
Based on the 1957 novel by the late Mr. Ejnar Mikkelsen and written for the screen by actor, Mr. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Against the Ice tells the dramatic story of the 1909 Danish Arctic Expedition led by Captain Ejnar Mikkelsen. The purpose of the expedition was to disprove the United States’ claim to Northeast Greenland. This claim was based on the assumption that Greenland was broken up into two different pieces of land.
Leaving his crew behind with the ship, Mikkelsen embarks on a journey across the ice with his inexperienced crew member, Iver Iversen. The two men succeed in finding the proof that Greenland is one island, but returning to the ship takes longer and is much harder than expected.
Battling extreme hunger, fatigue, and a polar bear attack, they finally arrive to find their ship crushed in the ice and the camp abandoned. Hoping to be rescued, they now must fight to stay alive. As the days grow longer, their mental hold on reality starts to fade, breeding mistrust and paranoia, a dangerous cocktail in their fight for survival.

On February 25, 2022 His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at Port Hercule esplanade in Monaco to attend the inauguration of 2022 Monacollecte.
Organized by the Gouvernement Princier de Monaco, Monacollecte is an event that urges the citizens and residents of the tiny principality to donate items that they no longer use, want or need such as clothes, toys, nicknacks, etc.
According to the Monaco Tribune several charities including the Croix-Rouge Monégasque were on hand at the recycling event to “…collect and redistribute…” hundreds of items donated.
On February 26, 2022, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the opening of the Simultanée Prince Albert 1er Chess Tournament held inside the Main Hall of the Monte-Carlo Casino in Monaco.
Organized by the La Fédération Monégasque the tournament brought together 32 young chess players from the Cercle d’Echecs de Monte-Carlo to participate in this famous game of strategy.
According to Hello Monaco, at the beginning of the tournament the sovereign prince “…made the first symbolic move [chess move] to each of the young participants.“

On February 25, 2022, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Mr. Franz Fayot, visited the company, DuPont de Nemours.
