On Monday, February 21, 2022, His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain held audiences with representatives from the Consejo de Administración y del Comité de Dirección de la Compañía Española de Seguros de Crédito a la Exportación, S.A., Compañía de Seguros y Reaseguros, S.M.E. (CESCE) at the Palacio de La Zarzuela in Madrid, Spain.
According to Casa Real, the CESCE is the:
“…head of a group of 20 companies, present in 10 countries, that offers comprehensive solutions for commercial credit management and the issuance of surety insurance and guarantees in parts of Europe and Latin America. CESCE is also the Spanish Export Credit Agency (ECA) that manages export credit insurance, and the coverage of medium and long-term risks of electro-intensive consumers, both on behalf of the State.
More than 1,400 people work in the Cesce Group, 60% women, with 47% of the Board of Directors being women. They have advanced conciliation and teleworking policies. They allocate 0.7% of their profits to CSR, to projects proposed and decided by their employees. They have managed not to emit CO2 into the atmosphere, thus reducing their emissions to a third of the original and offsetting the rest by planting trees in burned forests in Spain.
Its mission is to promote the solid, long-term growth of its clients, providing them with intelligent solutions for commercial credit management that cover the entire business value chain – market prospecting, risk management and transfer, and access to financing – and surety and guarantee solutions that allow them to tackle new projects and businesses.
They also full fill their public obligation as managers of Export Credit Insurance on behalf of the State, with a focus on supporting the internationalization activity of Spanish companies.”
