His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits Ajaccio, Corsica. (VIDEO)

On October 8, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was in  Ajaccio on the island of Corsica to witness “… the preparatory phase of the RAMOGPOL 2013 exercise, an anti-pollution drill performed by French, Italian and Spanish personnel and prepared by the Maritime Prefecture of the Mediterranean…”  

Confused?  Well, basically the sovereign prince was on a boat looking at stuff and meeting cool Naval personnel.

 

Members of the Spanish Royal Family Celebrate La Fiesta Nacional de España. (VIDEOS)

On Saturday, October 12, 2013, people throughout Spain celebrated La Fiesta Nacional de España.  This morning Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias presided over a military parade held in the Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo in Madrid.

Thereafter, the prince and princess accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain and Her Royal Highness Infanta Elena of Spain attended a gala reception held at Palacio de La Zarzuela.  Guests in attendance, which included various government officials, listened to an uplifting speech by Prince Felipe:

“Today is a day to celebrate that which unites us, to remember our ancient history and appreciate how much we have achieved together.  But, most of all, today is a day to reaffirm our commitment to the future, a shared future of harmony and progress for all of Spain and our citizens…”

Members of the Danish Royal Family View the Exhibition, Pas de Deux Royal: An Artistic Meeting.

QMII and PHOn the evening of October 11, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark arrived at the ARoS Kunstmuseum in Aarhus to view the special exhibition, Pas de Deux Royal: An Artistic Meeting.

As I mentioned yesterday, the exhibition displays “… 150 works selected in close collaboration with H.M. the Queen and H.R.H. the Prince Consort. The exhibition contains both early and very recent works and the artistic themes have been divided into 10 galleries covering a total area of 1,000 square metres.”
