On the evening of September 11, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales arrived at the Dorchester Hotel in London to attend the 2013 WellChild Awards.
According to the official website for WellChild the award ceremony “…celebrates the bravery of some of the country’s seriously ill children and the dedication of the people who go that extra mile to really make a difference to their lives.”
His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales hosted yet another reception at Clarence House today this time for “…80 young leaders from 16 nations across the world who are taking part in one of The Prince’s charities’ initiatives, The Mosaic Leadership Programme…” according to Clarence House.
On September 11, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a reception in the gardens at Clarence House in London to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Duchy Original Products.
The royal couple, accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry of Wales, also attended the funeral of the late Mr. Hugh van Cutsem at the Brentwood Cathedral in Essex. The prince and Mr. van Cutsem were longtime and close friends.
Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands arrived in Zeewolde this afternoon to inaugurate the Wind Farm Zuidlob.
Per RVD:
“The Wind Farm Zuidlob consists of 36 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 122 megawatts, which provides approximately 88,000 households with electricity. This makes Zuidlob one of the largest onshore Wind Farms in the Netherlands.”

On Wednesday, September 11, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, in her capacity as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development and the Honorary Patron for the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion, gave a keynote speech during the opening of the 2013 Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) Global Policy Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The two-day conference, held under the theme Driving Policies for Optimal Impact, participants will “…have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, and work together in taking the financial inclusion agenda forward…” notes the official website for AFI.
His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain arrived at the Universidad de Alcalá in Madrid this afternoon to attend the V Premio de Derechos Humanos Rey de España award ceremony. During today’s event His Majesty presented the award to the organization, Todos los Derechos para Todas y Todos, of Mexico.
