On the morning April 23, 2013, His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani of Qatar and his delegation arrived at the Naval Observatory for a quaint breakfast meeting with Vice President Joe Biden. So what did they talk about over coffee and donuts you may ask? Well, the usual of course: bilateral relations, international issues and perhaps they talked about last Sunday’s NBA game between the Lakers and Spurs in which the Lakers lost 91-79. Or, maybe they talked about the six Greek IslandsHis Highness recently purchased for a bargain price of 8.5 million Euros. Who knows.
Anyway, six hours later His Highness arrived at the White House to meet with President Barack Obama. Discussions inside the Oval Office focused on the Syrian crisis and bilateral relations between the U.S. and Qatar according to various sources.
His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan attended a luncheon meeting this afternoon at the Jordan Embassy in Washington D.C., with members of the U.S.-Jordan Business Alliance. According to the Petra News Agency, during today’s important meeting His Majesty:
“…expressed Jordan’s commitment to working closely with the United States to promote and encourage economic and trade relations, and to enable the U.S. business community to invest in Jordan and the region, and play a role in promoting economic growth.”
On Friday, April 26, 2013, His Majesty will met with President Barack Obama.
On April 23, 2013, His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden attended a ceremony at the royal palace in Stockholm where he presented the Svenska Sällskapet för Antropologi och Geografi 2013 Anders Retzius Gold Medal to Anthropologist and West Chester University Professor, Paul Stoller. Professor Stoller received this prestigious award for his “…important contributions to anthropological research.”
Earlier in the day, His Majesty accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden hosted a lunch for Minister of Equality, Ms. Maria Arnholm.
Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria attended the Swedish Association of Environmental Managers’ Sustainability Day in Stockholm this afternoon. During today’s event the crown princess presented the Sustainable Leadership Award to Mr. Peter Norman, the Minister for Financial Markets. Ms. Emma Ihre accepted the award on behalf of Mr. Norman who was unable to attend.
His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh arrived in Sandhurst, Berkshire this afternoon for a brief visit. Upon his arrival at the Sandhurst Community Hall the super awesome 91 year old duke was warmly greeted hundreds of locals as well as by the Mayor of Sandhurst, Mr. Dale Birch.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was at the Willows Primary School in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester this afternoon to “…launch a new school counseling program to help combat the effects of drug and alcohol addiction on children and their families…” according to Princeofwales.gov.uk.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a lovely tea party at Clarence House this afternoon to “…celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the charity, First Story. The charity, launched in 2008, strives to support and inspire creativity in challenging UK secondary schools and their communities.”
