On February 4, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias, as Honorary President, presided over the 2nd Edition of the Foro Contra el Cáncer organized by the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC).
According to the Spanish royal court:
“…the forum was dedicated to the early detection of cancer, something that, according to the Princess, ‘we are all involved. citizens’ associations, public administrations, institutions, researchers, doctors, everyone. Each and every one of us, as ultimately responsible for our health.’ The aim of today’s meeting is to bring to the public the need to address the issue of cancer in a comprehensive way as the best way to ensure success in the fight against the disease.”

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde of Belgium attended a luncheon at the Palais d’Egmont in Brussels on February 4, 2013. The luncheon, in connection with Contact Diplomatiques, was held in honor of “…heads of diplomatic missions who have recently returned to Belgium…” according to the Belgian royal court.
Their Majesties King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun of Bhutan recently held an audience with “… the sixth batch of Desuups…” on February 3, 2013.

On Sunday, February 3, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan began his two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates. The purpose of this important visit is to strengthen bilateral and economic ties between the two countries as well as to discuss the Syrian crisis and more according to the Petra News Agency.
Upon his arrival His Majesty was warmly greeted by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan as well as other important dignitaries. Afterward, His Majesty and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting at Al Rawda Palace.
According to the newspaper, Gulf News, today’s discussions focused on the:
“…importance of energizing cooperation between Arab countries to serve their strategic interests and of continuous coordination and consultation to promote joint action and advance the interests of their peoples and their just causes.
The two leaders exchanged [also] views on the latest regional and international events, current developments in the Middle East as well as efforts being made by the international community to attain a comprehensive, just peace that meets the rights of Palestinian people in line with the international legitimacy and as the sole way to preserve security and stability in the region.”
