Miss Charlene Wittstock ‘The New Grace’ (Not my Words)

Well, folks, it is inevitable at this point, and all fingers should be pointed to the PR management at the Palais Princier de Monaco.  Yes, that’s right… I’m pointing my finger at those who are overly paid, and who have no idea what they are doing, at the Palace in Monaco.

So why am I blaming them?  Well, first was their insistence that Miss Charlene Wittstock speak with the reporter from Tatler magazine, then their enthusiasm that she dress like the late movie star turned HSH Princess of Monaco, and not notice that there may be a backlash or problem with it.  Nor, did they realize that it is simply odd to promote such a notion (did that make any sense?)

Any way, the Spanish magazine, Hola, recently ran an article entitled, “The New Grace” in reference to Miss Charlene Wittstock.

Hmm.

Here is what they, Hola Magazine, has to say:

This summer will at last be a new Grace to Monaco. With great power of seduction, aristocratic and natural elegance, but also with golden hair and eyes as heaven.  The Prince promised power in its resemblance in each public appearance with poses, outfits, hairstyles, makeup to the delight of his countrymen. Thus from the beginning the sovereign and his girlfriend did not hide his love, but he also made her a place in many official events.  She impeccably served as his makeshift role of First Lady. And Monaco fell for her as it did fifty years ago and they were happy for Charlene to occupy the gap left by  Princess Grace.

Okay.

HRH Prince Harry of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton Attend a Wedding

HRH Prince Harry of Wales and his brother’s fiancée, Catherine Middleton, attended a grand wedding this evening in Britain.

According to the Sun newspaper, Prince William’s close friend, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, married his longtime gal, Miss Louise Stourton.

The bride looks like she wore a giant bed-sheet while the groom looked, well, dazed.

Meanwhile, Miss Catherine Middleton looked very happy… beaming knowing that her own wedding to HRH Prince William was just months away.  Miss Middleton wore a knee length black velvet coat, black hat, black knee length dress, and purple shoes.  Of course, she wore her trademark black eyeliner encircling her eyes like a raccoon (gurl, just stop!  Step away from the black eyeliner!)

Oh and Princess Beatrice was there… looking like a frightful hot mess.

Miss Catherine Middleton’s Tatler Magazine Warholesque Cover: Um, yeahhh

The geniuses who brought you Miss Charlene Wittstock’s infamous cover a few months ago, looking like Sharon Stone’s cheap sleazy sister from the movie Casino, are at it again. Yup,  that’s right… it’s Tatler Magazine!

Yay!

To say that the editor as well as art director and design team have failed yet again is an understatement.  So who is their victim this month?  Why it is Miss Catherine Middleton (you know… the woman who is about to marry HRH Prince William of Wales on April 29, 2011.)

Someone at Tatler Magazine had the Einstein idea to give her the “…Andy Warhol treatment… a pop art-style montage…”   Look, I’ll just cut to the case:  The cover is one hot freaking mess!  First, there was that gawd awful coin of Miss Middleton and HRH Prince William.  Now, there is this tacky and otherwise ugly cover.

The bottom righthand corner photo makes her look like a green monster from hell.  The layout is just… ugh!  I honestly feel bad for Miss Middleton.  Furthermore, I am beginning to wonder if those who make the final decisions at Tatler Magazine secretly hate royals and princely families.  Yeah, I know they are a “high society” magazine, but honestly…  I just don’t know what else to say.  Except…

In case you were wondering, Miss Middleton did not give an interview with the magazine and the image is from the official engagement announcement press conference back in November 2010.
