Their Serene Highnesses Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II of Monaco: The Religious Wedding.

Wow.  What can I say… the princely wedding between Their Serene Highnesses Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II of Monaco was one of the best weddings I have ever seen.  From the music, the royal and princely guests, heads of state, and of course the bride in her gorgeous custom-made wedding gown by Giorgio Armani.

The best part of the wedding, for me, was when the princely couple were serenaded by a mother and daughter duo inside the Sainte Devote church.  The song was a prayer to the Virgin Mary which touched H.S.H. Princess Charlene to the point the beautiful princess starting crying.

Anyway, I will give you a wrap up of all the festivities later since there is still much more to go with the religious wedding events including the reception, gala dinner, ball and of course fireworks.  So stay tuned.  🙂

In the meantime there are so many photos for you view so please click the links here herehere here here here and here.  Photos galore! (Just click anywhere and you will see a ton of photos… probably more than you can handle.)   🙂

  1. What is the name of the song to the Virgin Mary that touched Charlene at the chapel

    1. wow that song was truly from heaven- i mean angels sang it..and meant it…clearly/

i would have cried too. not from that beautiful song though, but the heartlessness of people. whatever went through a a person’s mind to report an illegitimate child -right before a wedding…clearly she does not think of the child’s future. how miserable is that? truly a slab of misery .

    1. Such a beautiful song…The mother and daughter who sang it at the Sainte-Dévote Church were also very moved actually! Both were interviewed by a French channel afterwards, and the little girl had tears of joy in her eyes, like the new Princess Charlene.
Here are some of the lyrics:
We salute you, O Notre Dame
Mary, Holy Virgin draped in the Sun
Crowned by stars, the Moon is under your feet
Through you we are given the Dawn of Salvation

  2. I love her dress! I think she looks absolutely beautiful. I loved seeing the arrival of the guests. What has Roger Moore done to his face? Yikes. I apparently missed Prince Laurent “Peter Griffin” of Belgium falling down on the red carpet, but it was great to see the guests arrive.

    1. I missed Mr. Entitlement Queen’s mega fall on the red carpet. Any video of that, by the way? lol

I loved the wedding, but I am sure many would disagree with me.

Princess Charlene’s dress: Stunning. The detailing including the edges of the veil were supreme. 🙂

  3. I haven’t seen any videos of it, just the pics from PPE. I’m really bummed that I missed it. I agree with you 100% about Charlene’s dress. Everything about it was flawless. It is absolutely perfect. Her hair and makeup were flawless too. She’s one of the most beautiful brides, royal or otherwise, that I’ve ever seen.

    1. yes, she is absolutely beautiful and regal. She deserves the title – Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco. Her bridal gown is one of the most beautiful gowns I have ever seen! Congratulations to Giorgio Armani.

  4. To Their Serene Highnesses May you be blessed with many happy years together The wedding was beautiful The bride was exquisite The setting perfect and the Prince immaculate Is there an English version of the Duet sung in the Chapel Although I did not understand the language the way it was sung said it all. We trust Their Serene Highnesses will enjoy their trip to my country South Africa
