HRH Princess Tatiana of Greece Attends… Oh Nevermind

On March 8, 2011, HRH Princess Tatiana of Greece attended the Vanity Fair Rocks party at the Corinthia Hotel in lovely London, England. Great.

I’m not sure what the point of this Vanity Fair party was for, but one thing that I do know: There were a lot of people at the party smoozing, boozing, and air-kissing.  Guests included model Jacquetta Wheeler, Amanda Eliasch, Ari Busson, Camilla Rutherford, Eliane Fattal, Nicky Haslam, Plum Sykes and hundreds of other fashionable people as well as VIP London socialites.

Oh and Princess Tatiana’s husband was there, Prince Nikolaos… but no one cares.

Pope Benedict XVI to Visit the Principality of Monaco in 2012

The French newspaper, Nice-Matin, is reporting that His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI will visit the Principality of Monaco sometime in 2012.  Now the Riviera Times has picked up on the story though they remain skeptical.

Per the Riviera Times:

Although the date that the religious leader will land in the Principality is still not officially set in stone yet, Archbishop Bernard César Barsi has revealed that he will celebrate a Catholic Solemn Mass in the Stade Louis II. It’s estimated that around 22,000 faithful followers will fill the stadium to worship with and to see in person the German-born head of the Catholic Church.

Ahead of this mass, it is planned for the Bishop of Rome, to pay a visit to the palace, the official residence of the Prince of Monaco, and to then join local cardinals at the Principality’s cathedral.

Princess Clotilde of Venice and Piedmont Attends a Fashion Show in Paris

On March 3, 2011, Princess Clotilde of Venice and Piedmont attended a fashion show in Paris, France along with other fashion writers, bloggers, and buyers.  The venue:  The Grand Hotel.  The Show:  Balmain.

Like Princess Tatiana of Greece, the former actress turned Princess, Clotilde’s position as a princess is pretty much useless (the Venice and Piedmont house are non-reigning in Italy.)  So, yeah… basically she doesn’t really do anything unless of course one considers attending fashion shows and cocktail parties a job.  However, I will say that she seems to be a very kind person.  Why?  Well, she along with her husband, Prince Emanuele Filiberto decided to adopt two Kenyan orphans… financially that is.  You see, the couple will take care of these two orphans by taking care of them monetarily until they are of age.  The children will remain in Kenya while Clotilde and Emanuele will live a billion miles away and perhaps visit every so often.
