JordanOn the morning of May 26, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan participated in  the plenary session entitled, A New Vision for Arab Employment, during the 2013 World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa held at the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Center, Dead Sea, in Jordan.   Please click here to watch and listen to Her Majesty’s opening speech.

Her Majesty also met with “…members of the Young Global Leaders who briefed her about their participation in the World Economic Forum and the outcomes of their visits to a number of community development projects in Jordan…” according to Petra News.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II met with the United Nations Secretary-General Envoy for Youth, Mr. Ahmad Al-Hindawi, at the Dead Sea in Jordan.  He also visited a “…youth inventions exhibit at the WEF…”

Later in the afternoon, the crown prince accompanied his father, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, to inaugurate the new $100 million Dead Sea Crowne Plaza Hotel and Resort.  After the opening His Majesty and the crown prince were given a tour of the new resort and met with the staff.

Afterward, His Majesty King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Hussein met with various government and world leaders attending the 2013 World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa including the United States Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry, and the President of Israel, Mr. Shimon Peres.

And, finally this evening, His Majesty and Crown Prince Hussein participated in the closing plenary session and award ceremony of the 2013 World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa.  During the event His Majesty gave a speech in which he called for “…peace in the Middle East and global support for Syrian refugees…”  His Majesty also presented the King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement to several worthy recipients.

Fun Times at the 2013 Grand Prix de Monaco for Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco.

F1GrandPrixOn Sunday, May 26, 2013, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco accompanied by Mr. Andrea Casiraghi and his beautiful fiancée, Miss Tatiana Santo Domingo, Mr. Pierre Casiraghi and his lovely longtime girlfriend, Miss Beatrice Borromeo, attended the 2013 Grand Prix de Monaco held on the Circuit de Monaco in Monte-Carlo.

The princely couple cheered on as German-born Monaco raised, Mr. Nico Rosberg from Team Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula One, dominated over Formula One favorite, Mr. Sebastian Vettel of Team Red Bull Renault and Mr. Mark Webber also from Team Red Bull Renault.

Today’s victory for Mr. Rosberg was quite sentimental for the young driver. In 1992, his father, Mr. Keke Rosberg, won the Grand Prix de Monaco.  So, yeah, it’s quite special.   🙂  Click here to view highlights from today’s race (scroll down and on your right hand side click the videos below where it says NBC Sports Videos).

Anyway, prior to this afternoon’s race Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene completed the traditional drive around the Circuit de Monaco in front of thousands happy grand prix attendees including director Ron Howard, actress Cameron Diaz, and Baywatch star and overall has been, Mr. David Hasselhoff to name a few.

And, last evening the princely couple hosted a lovely reception at the Palais Princier for various VIPs attending the Grand Prix de Monaco.  The sovereign prince also attended TAG Heuer’s 2013 Monaco Grand Prix soiree — somewhere in Monaco — alongside hundreds of beautiful people in fancy clothes.

TMs King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan Celebrate Independence Day. (VIDEO)

On May 25, 2013, Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan accompanied His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II celebrated the 67th Jordan Independence Day in Amman.

During today’s celebrations at Raghadan Palace His Majesty “…bestowed medals and orders of various types upon several institutions and a group of distinguished figures in recognition of their efforts in supporting the Kingdom’s ongoing development…” notes Petra News.

After the medal ceremony a gala concert was held at Raghadan Palace.

News Regarding His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.

monacoOn the morning of Saturday, May 25, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was seen hanging out in the paddock with his friend with the mushroom haircut and gazillionaire, Mr. Bernie Ecclestone, and French race car driver, Mr. Jean-Louis Schlesser, during the qualifying round of the 2013 Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Más Problemas for Infanta Cristina of Spain! (VIDEO)

Poor thing… this just isn’t her year.  Late yesterday afternoon the judge presiding over the infamous Instituto Nóos case, Judge José Castro, has “…asked the [Spanish] tax agency for information to determine whether Cristina engaged in tax evasion or money laundering between 2007 and 2010…” according to Reuters.

Earlier this month the Spanish court on Palma de Mallorca withdrew a subpoena against Infanta Cristina which was initiated by Judge José Castro.  The old judge wanted the infanta to appear in court as a witness to the investigation of her shady husband, Mr. Iñaki Urdangarín, the Duke of Palma, and his former business partner, Mr. Diego Torres.  Urdangarín and Torres are accused of embezzlement, fraud, misuse of public funds, and forgery from the non-profit organization they once presided over, Instituto Nóos.

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan Opens the 2013 World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa. (VIDEO)

 

On Saturday, May 25, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan officially opened the 2013 World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa held at the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Center, Dead Sea, in Jordan. Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan were also present during this morning’s event.

According to the official website for the World Economic Forum in his opening address His Majesty urged:

“…for greater efforts to find a political solution in Syria to prevent further fragmentation. With Syrian refugees in Jordan now equal to 10% of the country’s population, the King called for immediate action to end the violence and start the process of rebuilding the country. The King also called for progress on what he described as the core crisis in the region: the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”

Tomorrow morning, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan will participate in a roundtable public session entitled, A New Vision for Arab Employment, alongside Ms. Ellen Kullman, Mr. Majid Jafar, Mr. Tarik Yousef and others.

Her Highness Princess Ameerah of Saudi Arabia will participate in a public session entitled, The Business Case for Gender Diversity, on Sunday as well.   Other panelists include the Minister for Social Development for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ms. Reem Abu Hassan, and Mr. Khalid Alkhudair to name a few.

HRH The Duke of Cambridge Attends the XXXVII Ordinary UEFA Congress.

cambridgeOn the evening of May 24, 2013, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge arrived at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London to attend the XXXVII Ordinary UEFA Congress.  The purpose of the duke’s attendance was to celebrate the “…Football Association’s 150th anniversary…” according to Princeofwales.gov.uk.  During this evening’s event the duke participated a meeting with UEFA President Michel Platini and others.
